Things To Do
As a Couple
Breakfast
Start your day with breakfast at Bills, before wandering along the high street to explore the lovely boutiques. When you’re ready for lunch, pop into Cullenders and read the newspapers whilst watching the world go by.
As a Couple
Cocktails
Enjoy a cocktail at Urban 9 (above Urban Kitchen). We recommend the Gimlet, a delicious gin based sweet and sour cocktail, originally created in 1747 by a British Royal Legion Surgeon. Pre-book comfy sofa seats at Reigate’s Everyman Cinema – a real gem in the town centre. This cinema has it’s own bar and serves delicious tapas style treats, as well as freshly made popcorn. Snuggle up and enjoy the latest blockbuster with a chilled glass of wine.
As a Couple
Countryside walk
Enjoy the beautiful countryside with a walk on Reigate Health. Park in the Flanchford Road car park and start with an afternoon drink in The Skimmington Castle pub. Then, stroll back through the golf course, via the Windmill, and loop back to the car park.
With Kids
Hot Chocolate
Canakin coffee shop and patisserie offering mouth watering cakes and pastries found in Reigate High Street.
With Kids
Fairy and Pixie Doors
Hidden deep in the woods of Priory Park are fairy and pixie doors. Meander your way through the woods and take the kids on a hunt for them. Then, let the little ones get creative by decorating a plate or mug at Dish, whilst you enjoy a cup of tea. Later, why not treat the family to locally sourced fish and chips at Sea Salt on Lesbourne Road?
With Kids
Beautiful Castle Grounds
Head to the high street, pop into Café Nero and grab drinks to go. As you walk back down the street, look out for the steps up to Reigate Castle, to the right of Boots. Head up to the beautiful castle grounds and don’t miss the unusual pyramid structure in the centre of the garden.
With Kids
Treasure Trials
If your children are a little older, try Treasure Trials’ Murder Mystery treasure hunt. Tours can be personalised, so it’s a great gift idea for local friends or family.

Stunning Views
If it’s a clear day, drive up Wray Lane and park at the top of Reigate Hill, in the National Trust car park, to enjoy the stunning view. Pop to Urban Kitchen’s ‘The Hill’ kiosk for a drink and, if the sun is shining, sit in one of their deck chairs. If you fancy a walk, head over the bridge up the hill to Reigate Fort, or over the road and through Gatton Park; the historic parkland and Edwardian gardens, designed by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown.

Caves
If your friends come to stay during warmer months, visit Reigate’s famous caves and explore beneath the town centre. Check opening days first, as the caves shut for winter. The entrance is located on Tunnel Road (just past Café Rouge). The road was built in 1823 and is the oldest road tunnel in Britain, as well as one of the oldest in Europe. After exploring the caves, pop into Market Stores to enjoy their garden (on a sunny day) or cosy dining area if the weather isn’t so nice. If cooking for friends, visit The Vineking, Reigate’s independent wine merchant. Their team will work with you to match the perfect bottle of wine to your meal.

Energetic Day Out
For a more energetic day out, take a long walk around Reigate’s countryside. The four mile long circular walk takes you through Reigate Heath (where you can stop at The Black Horse pub), as well as the Reigate Heath Windmill, Wonham Mill and the pillboxes built during the Second World War.
