Overview. This is an excellent home with so many benefits that a buyer will fall in love with. As soon as we pulled up to the front, we loved the look of Irie Cottage. There are four homes set back from the road, each with their own parking area. As you walk through the front door, the herringbone style flooring which flows through into the kitchen catches your eye. The sitting room overlooks the front with its large semi-circular bay, which is complemented by the wood burner. This room flows into the kitchen diner. Formally two rooms, it now works brilliantly as an open space which connects with the sitting room and conservatory, with a view over the garden.

On the first floor, all three bedrooms work really well and all have built in storage space. Bedrooms two and three overlook the fields to the rear and provide stunning views, whilst bedroom one and the bathroom are located to the front. Outside, the garden is the perfect spot to relax in. There are two paved seating areas, one next to the conservatory and the second at the end of the garden, tucked away and with the feeling that you are in the middle of nowhere. The garden is beautifully maintained and backs onto fields. To the front, there is parking for two cars and a garage.

Location

For those of you looking for that countryside feel but still within walking distance of the village, Irie Cottage could be the perfect spot. Located on Church Road, you’re an easy walk to one of the best pubs in Mid-Sussex; The Farmers which serves great food and has a large children’s play area to the rear. Heading north and another great pub, The Sloop Inn is just a couple of miles away. Also in the village is St Augustine’s C of E Primary school and also the Millennium village hall which provides a range of activities and classes all year round. Next to the hall, there is a trail that leads your through the countryside and into Lindfield. Scaynes Hill is located a short distance to the east of Lindfield and Haywards Heath on the A272 and West of the famous Ashdown Forest. Surrounded by beautiful Sussex countryside including Sheffield Park National Trust and the Bluebell Railway. Haywards Heath is only a short drive away in the car and here you will find a fantastic mix of restaurants and bars, it’s great for commuters as the mainline station has direct access to London Bridge and London Victoria from 45 minutes. As well as Haywards Heath, Scaynes Hill isn’t far from Uckfield and Lewes if you wanted to find further shopping and entertainment amenities.
