What have you got planned for Fireworks night? With Halloween and Fireworks so close together we’ve all been talking about our favourite firework nights. ‘Remember, remember, the fifth of November’, is the date of the infamous Gunpowder Plot of 1605 and the night we remember Guy Fawkes. Who can resist a wonderful bonfire casting flickering shadows and creating a warm glow with the burst of fireworks painting the night sky with a dazzling display.
Here are some spectacular firework displays we have enjoyed in the past and where you will see a few of the Move Revolution team this year!
Brockham Bonfire
The annual Brockham Bonfire festivities is among the biggest in Surrey on 2nd November. At 6:00 PM, the Guy, accompanied by an escort carrying burning torches, will depart from Brockham Green and head north along Brockham Lane. The procession will return to Brockham Green shortly after 6:30 PM. Here, it will merge with The Marching Sea Cadet Band for the main procession, which will set off south at 6:35 PM. The procession will arrive back at the bonfire for lighting at 7:45 PM. Torches will be distributed on Brockham Green and along the procession route to members of the public who wish to participate. Brockham Bonfire is a charity event, you don’t need to buy a ticket to attend, there is a suggested £10 donation per person.
