Every year during the month of June, we celebrate Pride month across the world although, smaller celebrations of Gay Pride and Mardi Gras are celebrated year round. These wonderful celebrations have grown bigger and bigger year on year since they first began in 1969 in New York.
Brighton & Hove hosts one of the country’s biggest, and most popular, Gay Pride events which takes place annually, on the first weekend in August. From vibrant and colourful parades, glittery street parties, to festival vibes headlined by various music artists over a whole weekend, which in turn helps to fundraise for the Rainbow Fund.
