Many of you know what we love to support local schools, and we are delighted to announce our support of The Meads in East Grinstead with their bike sale on 24th April between 10.30am and 12.30pm. It’s a great chance to pop along and buy a preloved bike, scooter or pram. If you have any of these items to sell, please do drop them in between 9-10am and return to pick up the proceeds (minus 20% which will go to The Friends of The Meads) or the item if it hasn’t sold.
Also at the sale will be Brands Cycles, who we class as the absolute experts on all things bike related. They’ll on hand to offer advice and sell a wide range of great accessories, including brilliant Balance Buddy which is a parent handle to help children transition from a balance bike or stabilisers. Having used one of these ourselves we can vouch that it’s a genius piece of kit!
We know it’ll be a great event and some of us are likely to be popping along ourselves to upgrade our children’s bikes – they grow so quickly!
We are currently canvassing opinion in our offices to put together a list of places to cycle with children; we will share this with you at a later date as the weather is perfect to get out there with the little ones. A couple of places to get you started though are Alice Holt which has a variety of cycle routes from a 3 mile cycle trail is suitable for both children and adults, offering all the family a chance to explore further into the forest. It’s beautiful! Another to make it onto the list is the Cuckoo Trail which is good for older children. It is 11 miles long but can easily be shortened if necessary.
We’re off to check our tyre pressures and pack up a picnic!
