About Oxted
Oxted is wonderfully located to the north of East Grinstead and the south east of Croydon. It dates back to 1086 and is mentioned in the Doomsday Book, when it was known as Acstede, meaning ‘where the oaks grow’.
This picturesque town boasts Tudor buildings and lanes lined with trees. The old high street houses four country pubs and the town centre offers a variety of cafés, restaurants and boutique stores.
Master Park is established in a lovely setting, with the Surrey Hills behind it, and there is lots of space for children and dogs to play. Here, events, including the legendary Beer Festival weekend, are held regularly.
Oxted is known for is commuter links, providing direct train access into central London, and is just a short drive from the M25 and Gatwick Airport.
