DESCRIPTION So what does this home in Gordon Road offer? We like the fact the garden is a really good size and gets plenty of morning and late afternoon sun. There is off road parking – one space at the front on the brick paved drive, whilst to the rear there is a further space via shared drive. Internally on the ground floor there are two reception rooms and a kitchen. The sitting room to the front has the benefit of a boxed bay window, whilst to the rear the dining room leads to the modern kitchen which overlooks the rear patio and garden. We also like the size of all three bedrooms upstairs, the bathroom is modern and there is access to loft. The garden consists of a patio immediately behind the kitchen, with steps to the lawn area.
There are many reasons why we love this home in Gordon Road. Firstly the location. It is excellent not only for the station where direct trains to London Bridge and Victoria are under an hour, but Sainsbury’s, Waitrose which is opening in Spring ’17 and the leisure centre, are all within walking distance. In fact, you can also include the bars and restaurants on the Broadway. For those families looking for local schools, the superbly regarded Blackthorns and Harlands Primary are both close by, as is Oathall Community College. On site at Oathall is Pioneer childcare which has a breakfast club from 7am and an after school club until 6:30pm.
Gordon Road itself has its own fantastic community set up. On the first Sunday of every month for 2 hours, the road is closed off from cars to allow children to play and meet up – a great way to build the community spirit.
The countryside is not far from your front door, National Trust facilities are located locally at Wakehurst Place and Nymans Gardens, with Sheffield Park less than 15 minutes by road. Pretty villages surround the town and include Lindfield, Cuckfield, Ardingly and Wivelsfield Green. Brighton can be found 15 miles to the south, whilst a short drive north takes you to Crawley, London Gatwick and the A/M23.
