It’s the fifth year!
Move Revolution Share the Love Food Bank 2024 & Malawi Campaign.
Move Revolution has run an amazing food bank campaign over the past four years, uniting our community to gather as many donations as possible for local food banks. This marks our fifth year of this wonderful initiative aimed at giving back to families and communities in need.
We are thrilled to launch our ‘Share the Love’ food bank campaign for 2024. This year, we will support four remarkable food banks in the areas we serve. Each food bank has specific needs, so if you wish to donate, we highly recommend checking their websites below. We would greatly appreciate your involvement in our food campaign! Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. If you choose to participate, you have a couple of options: you can either drop off your donations at one of our four Move Revolution offices, or a member of our team can collect your parcel from you on Wednesday 11th December 2024, and deliver it to one of the food banks on your behalf.

This year, we are introducing something new. Our Sales & Lettings Coordinator, Rosie, will be traveling to Malawi for Christmas with her lovely family, where they aim to share the love with families in need in the Bwetu Village. Four years ago, they visited this same village in Chitukula, where they met beautiful families living in challenging conditions and many children they will reconnect with to spread some seasonal joy! They would greatly appreciate any monetary donations, no matter how small. The more they can raise, the more families they can support in the village.
To provide some context, a bag of maize flour in Malawi costs about 45,000 Malawi Kwacha, which is approximately £15. This staple food can sustain a small family of three for about two months. In addition to maize, they hope to fund extra food provisions like soya pieces and toiletry packages. They also plan to create around 60 small Christmas gift bags for the children, costing £3 each. Rosie and her family will document their journey, so you can see exactly how your donations are utilized. In one of the world’s poorest regions, every penny counts, and Rosie and her family will be incredibly thankful for any contributions you can make.
