Read on to find out more about the line-up.
The Marionette Insect Circus
The magical world of The Marionette Insect Circus invites the audience to forget reality and become immersed in the strange and beautiful world of insects.
Presented using marionettes, watch as beetles, wasps, dragonflies and grasshoppers demonstrate their agility with great skill and humor.
The show breathes new life into traditional techniques used in Victorian trick marionettes and has received many awards across the world.
The Reigate School of Ballet and Commercial Dance
Prioryfields will feature wonderful dance sessions run by The Reigate School of Ballet & Commercial Dance, the area’s leading and largest dance school.
Established over 50 years ago, the school offers a selection of opportunities, workshops, exams, theatre trips and summer schools for children of from 18 months. Jo Evans, ex-Royal Ballet trained examiner, TV and West End performer, now teaches at the school, covering ballet, tap, modern, street, musical theatre and contemporary dance.
Pupils continually work hard in shows, exams, the local community and London based events.
Arnold’s Big Adventure – with Tessa Bide
Tessa Bide is a Bistrol-based theatre-maker and performer.
Now touring across the country, Tessa started puppeteering and performing with renowned masters of children’s theatre and puppetry, Stuff and Nonsense Theatre Company, in 2010. In 2012, she embarked on her own theatre-making career.
Tessa’s passionate about performing theatrical experiences for children that inspire and excite, without patronizing, and her shows are just as exciting for adults.
The show is aimed at three to eight year-olds and seats will be limited, so arrive in good time to secure a spot.
Creation Station with Lisa Tye
We are delighted to welcome Lisa to run our crafts activities during Prioryfields.
Founded in 2002, the Creation Station is committed to inspiring children’s imaginations through award winning art and craft Exploration & Discovery sessions.
There will be lots of exciting activities for children to participate in; alongside the craft tables – where they can make bee rockets, butterflies and clay animal friends – Creation Station will be running taster sessions for their Baby Discover and Little Explorer classes. Spaces are limited, so ensure you put your name down when you arrive.
Ranger Stu – Animal Man
We are all excited about seeing Ranger Stuart at Prioryfields, who has an extensive background in zoo and conservation work.
As a breeder of exotic species, his Animal Man Show has a great following, Timeout London for Children Guide saying:“…this is one of the top experiences in the capital for your children.”
Experience a wide range of animals, which could include birds, amphibians, reptiles, mammals and invertebrates in a show that’s open to all ages and fun for all the family.
The full schedule for Prioryfields will be released on the Move Revolution Facebook page soon.
