Halloween Fun 2021

As the nights draw in, the air gets crisper and the leaves start to fall and turn a lovely golden colour, we can start preparing for Halloween! Arguably the best part about Autumn and therefore, a perfect excuse to celebrate either with friends or family. We have a range of ideas for you to pick from!

A Halloween Spectacular Trail

Dress up in your creepiest Halloween outfit to go to the costume party at Foolish Mortal Mansion AKA Borde Hill Gardens. Follow the story trail around the garden helping detective Snoop discover what happened to Sir Powers, meeting some of the shady characters who live at the mansion and receive a prize along the way.

Open from 16th– 31st October from 10am – 5pm. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Shocktober Fest

Prepare for a night at Tulleys Farm, a night filled with special effects, immersive scenery, live actors, great food, and an amazing atmosphere. The scream park has 10 haunted attractions including a haunted hayride, a cellar, the chop shop, penitentiary plus more. There are other extra’s you can also take part in, zombie paintball, a slingshot ride, ghost train and a scream ride!

Taking place throughout October however, this has become very popular over the years so we would recommend booking as far in advance as possible!

Pick Your Own Pumpkin

Tulleys Farm also hold ‘pick your own pumpkins’ which is great fun for the kids! With an amazing, 20 acres of pumpkin fields and 150,000 pumpkins to pick from! The rambling fields of vines have pumpkins of all different shapes, sizes, and textures, whether you want the perfect round pumpkin to carve a scary face out of, or a big lumpy one to make a delicious pie or even to simply decorate your home with! Amongst the pumpkin picking, Gourder the Jester, Sage the Wizard and Folly the Scarecrow will be roaming around the fields casting some magic. If you are making a day out of it, treat yourself to a drink in the new cocktail bar or enjoy some of the hot food on offer. 

Ghost Tour of Guildford

Discover a spooky side of Guildford… Running on Friday nights from now till the end of November. The tour begins on the main High Street, covering over 20 haunted and mysterious sites. Learn about the Lady in Grey seen around Tunsgate, a place where criminals were once executed, step inside Guildford’s most haunted building The Kings Head pub and see if you can spot any of its ghostly residents! It’s a good laugh with a few screams here and there!

Halloween Shriek Week

Shriek Week at Drusillas Park is the perfect place for a spooky week of fun filled activities. Venture through the creepy cob webbed corridors of the Haunted Heights House and see who is hiding behind the trap door… An ancient mummy has been seen wandering the pathways of the terror maze, with its many twists and turns. Frightening tattoos and freaky face painting are available to get into the spirit, not only that, make sure you are dressed in your best Halloween costume to be in the chance of winning the fancy-dress competition!

Open from the 26th – 28th October 2021- tickets can be purchased via their website. 

Spooky Fireworks Spectacular

If you can’t quite wait for Bonfire Night, Fontwell Racecourse in Arundel is holding a spectacular event on Friday 29thOctober. Start your night with face painting and thrilling rides followed by some spooky themed bites, warm snacks, hot drinks, and refreshments before the huge display kicks off. The fireworks fiesta features a dazzling display of Catherine wheels, rockets, fountains and more. 

Running from 5:30pm to 9:00pm and tickets can be purchased via their website.
