Autumn Half Term 2022

And just like that we are half way through October and thinking about the last half term of the year, before dare I say it.. Christmas!

Twilight Workshop at The Observatory

The Twilight workshop for 9-11 years will go through all things planet Earth and space. From finding out what makes volcanoes erupt, the reasons behind earthquakes and why the icecaps are melting. You’ll also get to discover about there is to know about space and how to use a telescope, if the weather is clear you may even get to look at the magnificent planets Saturn and Jupiter.

Pick Your Own Pumpkins at Tulleys Farm

Take your pick from knobbly ones, wrinkly ones, different shapes and sizes, there is a bountiful supply of shiny pumpkins, quirky gourds and lumpy squashes. Whether you want to carve a ghoulish face, make a delicious pie or decorate your house with unusual gourds. There is an ideal pumpkin for everyone. Perhaps you’ll spot Gourdy the Jester, Sage the Wizard, Folly the Scarecrow or The Queen of the Harvest on your adventure!

Halloween Trail at Discovery Land, Priory Farm

Venture along the Halloween themed walk through ancient woodland, green pastures, meadows and around fishing lakes where you will spot a creepy witch, The Rolling Pumpkins band, trails of cobwebs, Priory Farm spooky prison plus much more!

Fairy Door Trails at Painshill

Walk around the beautiful Painshill landscape and discover a series of wonderful secret doors where the fairies live amongst the golden Autumn coloured leaves! Search for the various wooden fairy doors that are hidden around the woodlands and lake for you to find.

Halloween Paint Along Workshop at Leonardslee Gardens

Kids can get creative with a fun-filled paint along workshop by a local artist in the Courtyard Café, they will be able to create either a scary pumpkin or a spooky night painting to take home. You can then explore the spookily decorated gardens!

Halloween Shriek Week at Drusilla’s Park

Venture through the creepy cobwebbed corridors of Haunted Heights – Drusillas’ live action haunted house experience. Missing from the tomb of Mungo, an ancient Mummy has been seen wandering through the shadowy pathways of the twisted terror maze. Enter through the old temple ruins and unravel the mystery within. Fang-tastically frightening tattoos and freaky face painting is available in the Parlour!
